Court Appointed Programs
For more than 50 years, CVLS has built a strong relationship with Chicago’s court system and judges. Judges in Probate, Chancery and Domestic Relations appoint CVLS to represent parties in complex litigation and to serve as guardian ad litem for children or disabled adults.
These cases demand special training and close, one-on-one supervision from CVLS staff attorneys.
Although extra training is required, the rewards are that much greater. Nothing can compare to the feeling you get when you save a family’s home from foreclosure, or advocate for a child’s best interest in a guardianship or custody case.
