Beginning with the two-year reporting period that ends next June, attorneys have to include one hour of CLE in the area of diversity-inclusion in addition to an hour in the area of mental health-substance abuse. The rationale for the new requirement is to improve the well-being of lawyers and the inclusiveness of the profession to better serve our clients.
On October 24, Michelle Silverthorn, Diversity & Education Director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, will give a CLE on Diversity called, “We the People”. Michelle writes and speaks frequently on diversity and inter-generational issues in the workplace and is certified in instructional design and intercultural competency. Prior to joining the Commission, Michelle worked as a litigation associate with Schiff Hardin in Chicago and at Latham & Watkins in New York City.
This program will be interesting AND it will fulfill one of your new CLE required hours. Don’t miss it.
- This seminar is worth 1.0 hours of MCLE credit - Professional Responsibility Credit Pending.
