CVLS Expands Advisory Board

Chicago Volunteer Legal Services’ Board of Directors appointed 15 new members to its Advisory Board last week. All but three new members have served on CVLS’ governing board in the past, eight as president. Christopher N. Skey, a member of the law firm Clark Hill and a former CVLS governing board president, will serve as the Advisory Board’s Chair.

CVLS holds its 2010 Annual Awards Ceremony Hosted by Kirkland & Ellis LLP

Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS), Chicago’s pre-eminent pro bono civil legal aid provider, will be holding its Annual Award Ceremony from 5:30-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 10 at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. The ceremony recognizes CVLS volunteers who throughout the year have donated their efforts and countless hours fighting for equal access to justice for low-income Chicago residents who otherwise would be left to fend for themselves in the daunting legal system.
