New Volunteer Opportunity - Guardianship Planning for Undocumented Immigrants

In the wake of the recent executive orders, many undocumented immigrants fear detention or deportation. Parents are seeking information and legal help in setting up safety plans for their US-born children who might stay behind with family members or friends. Please join us for this one-stop training and clinic on Chicago’s southwest side. Learn about guardianship and short-term guardianship, then sit down with families to help them put in place a plan for their children. These are private party documents that will not require a court appearance or any legal representation after the clinic date. All are welcome but Spanish speakers are especially needed!
