Steps to Follow
Call First Call our Intake Specialists at 312-332-1624 to start the process for obtaining legal representation as quickly as possible. Our Intake Specialists will take the relevant information and determine whether CVLS can help you with your problem. If it appears that you meet our basic guidelines, we will set an appointment for you.
Be on Time Please arrive for your appointment on time. If you are unable to keep your appointment please call 312-332-1624 and let us know. This will help us serve as many people as possible. We will reschedule you for the next available appointment.
What You Should Bring Please bring any court papers, leases, contracts or other paperwork that is related to your legal matter. Also please bring the names and addresses of the people involved in with the problem.
We Will Notify You After the interview and once we have all the information we need, a CVLS staff attorney will review your case. We will let you know if we can help by sending a letter to the address you gave us. We will try to let you know within four weeks of your interview. If we cannot help you, we will try to direct you to someone who can.
If you have a court date scheduled before we contact you, you MUST attend on your own. Tell the judge that you are trying to find an attorney, and ask for a continuance of your case. We cannot guarantee the judge will give you a continuance.
