Rebekah joined CVLS as a Staff Attorney in 2007, handing cases in the areas of family law, guardianship, immigration, foreclosure litigation and foreclosure mediation. She became Director of the GAL for Minors Program in 2011. In addition to handling a her own caseload, she recruits, trains and supervises more than 200 volunteer attorneys every year. She also serves as a liaison between the Probate Court and DCFS. During law school, Rebekah worked at an immigration clinic at the US-Mexico border and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Bogota, Colombia. She is fluent in Spanish and has represented clients in a number of pro bono immigration matters. Rebekah is a former member of the Junior Leadership Council of the National Immigrant Justice Center and former Director of the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association. She currently serves on the pastoral council of Saint Clement Parish in Chicago and is a member of the Child Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association.
